Maya Triay and Mariona Jaume
with Joe's Movement Emporium

Join Spanish dancers Maya Triay and Mariona Jaume as they share the results of their artistic collaboration with Joe's Movement in a unique performance!

This event will feature a performance created by Spanish dancers Maya Triay and Mariona Jaume Camps, in collaboration with the two companies associated with Joe's Movement: Uprooted Dance and The Lion's Den. Through this collaboration, NUS will develop two pieces specifically adapted for these dance groups, each with unique guidelines, premises, and details. Additionally, Mariona and Maya will perform S'Albufera, an existing dance duet created in 2023.

NUS: Conceived for Uprooted Dance, the piece The Knots in Between will explore the connections that bind us. Through bodies that intertwine, expand, and release, bonds that unite and relationships that sustain are revealed. The imperceptible ties that shape us become visible through movement. These knots, far from imprisoning us, give us form within the shared space.

Conceived for Lion's Den, the piece As Wild as Caring, in between fierceness and tenderness, explores the body as a territory where wildness and care intertwine. Gazes that offer refuge and bodies that become shelter. In this shared ritual, tenderness becomes resistance, and the untamed, a form of love.
